ISRIC - World Soil Information is an independent foundation with a global mandate, funded by the Netherlands Government with the aim:

• To inform and educate - through the World Soil Museum, public information, discussion and publication
• As ICSU World Data Centre for Soils, to serve the scientific community as custodian of global soil information
• To undertake applied research on land and water resources

Vincent has more than 25 years’ experience in soil survey, land evaluation and land use planning, working for national governments and international organisations. At ISRIC since 1988, he has been principally responsible for the ongoing development of the global Soil and Terrain Database (SOTER), regional surveys and professional training worldwide. At the moment leading of eSOTER project.
