40 российских участников в возрасте от 18 до 20 лет поедут этим летом в США на четыре недели. 

Программа покрывает расходы участников, связанные с поездкой с США, включая перелет, транспортные расходы, проживание и питание во время стажировки.

Посольство США предлагает студентам в возрасте от 18 до 20 лет принять участие в Молодежной Экологической программе.

Программа будет проходить в США в течение 4 недель летом 2017г . Она имеет практическую направленность и предполагает участие в семинарах, интерактивных групповых проектах, посещение объектов, и волонтерскую работу в местных сообществах. Участники будут прикреплены к общественным экологическим организациям, а также получат возможность приобрести практический опыт и узнать много нового от общения с руководителями проектов.

Программа будет включать культурные мероприятия и двухнедельное пребывание в принимающей семье, что позволит участникам поближе познакомиться с культурой и повседневной жизнью американских людей.

Soil Science has a long history at Moscow State University. At first teaching of soil science as a university discipline started an MSU in 1906. Since that time Departments of Soil Science belonged to Faculties of Physics and Mathematics (1922-1934), Soil and Geography (1934 - 1939), Soil and Geology (1939 - 1949), Biology and Soil Science (1949 - 1973). 
 
Faculty of Soil Science has been organized at 1973, and now it is one of the 39 Faculties of the MSU. The activity includes both education and research. About 450 undergraduate students and 87 post-graduate students study at the Faculty; more than 150 Professors and Faculties teach and conduct research.  
 
Education
The Faculty provides undergraduate (BA/BSc, 4 years), Master (MA/MSc, 2 years) and post-graduate programs (PhD, 4 years). For BSc and MSc degrees there are two educational programs: Soil Science and Ecology & Nature Management. For Post-graduate studies there are 3 programs within Biological Sciences (Soil Science, Ecology, and Microbiology) and 2 programs within Agricultural Sciences (Agrochemistry and Agrophysics).

Soil Science Faculty of Chemistry offers the following programs of study:

Undergraduate program in Soil Science (BSc)

The Soil Science educational program is aimed to train highly qualified Bachelors with fundamental knowledge of natural sciences, able to solve theoretical and methodical tasks related to natural landscapes, soil and vegetation cover, land resources use and construction of artificial grounds (lawns, parks, reclaimed landscapes, etc.). Obtained knowledge and skills are solidified in laboratory trainings and the unique field practices, where a student studied soil cover in different ecosystems. The knowledge gained will enable both to continue successfully further education in MSc-course and to apply the obtained skills in industrial sector, in sectors related to the assessment and protection of land resources, analysis of environmental processes, development of modern technologies focused on protection and rational use of natural resources. The graduates are ready to work in the areas related to land resources assessment and protection; analysis, forecast and management of environmental processes in the biosphere; and development of modern technologies focused on conservation and rational use of natural resources.

Undergraduate program in Ecology and Nature Management (BSc)

The educational program in Ecology is implemented by the Faculty of Soil Science; its objective is to train highly qualified Bachelors with fundamental knowledge of natural sciences, able to solve topical problems of theoretical and applied ecology, to use and develop innovative technologies for assessing and managing environmental processes, for scientific transformation and protection of nature. The graduates know classical and new methods of research and equipment. They applied acquired knowledge and skills in different laboratory works and special field practices, where they studied soil cover in different ecosystems using classical and modern methods of research. It will allow the graduates to study nature and ecological processes both at a nano-level and on a global scale. The graduates are prepared for research, industrial and technological professional activity, management and pedagogic. The Bachelors in ecology are prepared to work in the areas related to analysis, forecast and management of ecological processes in the biosphere, development of modern technologies focused on protection, conservation and rational use of natural resources.

Researches of antierosion stability of soil are held on the department.
New perspective direction of soil science of hydrologically-agrophysical studing of erosion was originated. It is described by logical and sequential association of achievements, ideas and methods of soil science (in particular soil physics), hydrology, hydraulics and mechanics of multiphase environments.
One of new directions in researches of the department is directed on the development of new experimentally-theoretical models of water soil erosion at rains and snowmelt, and also wind erosion with use of laws of mechanics of multiphase environments and hydro- and aeromechanics.

The department of soil chemistry in MSU has been established in 1943 and headed by E.P.Troitsky. Since 1980 till 1999 D.S.Orlov honored worker of the science, honored professor of the MSU has been the chair.
Professor S.J.Trofimov became the chief of the department of soil science in 1999.

Scientific work is carried out in a priority direction " Chemical bases of soil formation, fertility and monitoring of soil ".
Three main themes are developed:
1. Thermodynamic bases of formation of soil chemical condition.
2. Change of soil chemical properties under technogenic influence.
3. Organic matter, carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus in soils.

The department has been organized in 1943 by V.V.Gemmerling. In 1950 N.A.Kachinsky became the chief. A.D.Voronin headed the chair since 1976. E.V.Sheyin is the chief of the department since 1998.

Studying of soil structure including processes of formation of aggregates is  one of mainstreams of work on the department.
For the first time the newest methods of soil research have been theoretically proved and applied to the decision of concrete soil problems: magnetic (V.F.Babanin), electric (A.I.Pozdnjakov), thermodynamic - an estimation of soil water condition (I.I.Sudnitsyn, A.D.Voronin, E.V.Shein).
Wood soils are studied (including change of soils under artificial wood plantings), their genesis, distribution in space, participation in formation of a soil cover and functioning of wood ecosystems. Researches on a gas mode and rheological properties of soil have extended.
The group of soil improvement has continued researches of hydromorphic soils, including influence of fires on peat soil, a role of addition of sand in preservation of peat soil and reclamation problems. Works on studying heat properties and regimes of soil are begun.
Now the department of physics and soil reclamation is the recognized theoretical and methodical center in our country and abroad.

The department of soil science in MSU has been established by professor V.V. Gemmerling in 1922. Professor V.A.Kovda, corresponding member АН the USSR headed the chair since 1953. Since 1980 B.G.Rozanov was the chief of the department. Since 1993 till 1999 V.D.Vasilevskaja has been the chair. Professor A.S.Vladychenskii became the chief of the department of soil science in 1999.
The laboratory of radioecology headed by Dr.Sci.Biol. A.I.Shcheglov is a part of the department of soil science since 1969.

Scientific researches on the department of the general soil science are spent in a priority direction "Functioning and evolution of soils in natural and anthropogenous landscapes ". It includes two themes.
The first theme is " Processes of soil formation and functioning of soils in natural and anthropogenous landscapes ". It consists  of following basic sections: soil processes and genesis of soils; a role of soil in formation of biogeochemical cycles of elements; transformation of mineral substance of soil during soil formation.
The second theme is "Stability and anthropogenous evolution of soils ". It includes following sections: theoretical bases of soil stability formation; chemical pollution of soils; anthropogenous evolution of soils of steppe zone; genesis and functioning of urban soils.

The department of agriculture  is organized in MSU in 1955 on the basis of the division of agronomics. It was headed by V.T.Makarov. Since 1976 on 1979 professor A.P.Jakovlev was the chief of the chair. Professor E.A.Dmitriev held a chair within 20 years (1979-1999). Dr.Sci.Biol., professor P.N. Balabko was selected as the chief of the department in 2000.
