Foreign students specializing in soil microbiology, agricultural chemistry, soil science, ecology.
The purpose of studying the Program
The aim of this course is to provide students with systematic information about the fundamental and applied aspects of soil microbiology, to characterize all the main groups of organisms comprising the soil biota, to provide information about the modern taxonomy of prokaryotes, their structure, regulation of metabolism, to discuss the issues of the ecology of microorganisms, their participation in biogeochemical processes, to outline the basics of industrial microbiology.
Objectives:
1. To systematize and deepen knowledge in the field of soil microbiology.
2. To actualize knowledge about the rational use of microorganisms in order to increase soil fertility, mining efficacy, replenish energy resources and clean the environment from various pollutants.
3. To form in the audience a clear understanding of the key role of microorganisms in the global biochemical cycles of elements in the biosphere.
4. To systematize the students’ knowledge about modern research methods in the field of soil microbiology.
In what format does it take place?
Theoretical teaching is carried out in properly equipped classrooms that meet the material, technical, informational and methodological requirements.
